Application
EPI NEMA 4X JIC, Stainless Steel, Screw Cover, Enclosures are designed for use in areas that may be regularly hosed down or are very wet. They are suitable for use outdoors or in dairies, breweries, and similar installations. They are designed for areas where serious corrosion problems exist.
Construction
Made from 16 or 14-gauge Type 304 stainless steel. All seams are continuously welded. There are no holes or knockouts. The covers are attached with stainless steel self-tapping screws. Covers are gasketed with a neoprene gasket attached with an oil-resistant adhesive. External feet are furnished for mounting. Panels must be ordered separately
Finish
The standard finish is Type 304 2B stainless steel series.
Industry Standard
Meets National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) standard for Type 4 (Water Tight and Dust Tight) and Type 4X (Water Tight, Dust Tight, and Corrosion Resistant) enclosures. JIC standard. EGP-1-1967.
