Application

EPI NEMA 4X Consolets are designed to house electrical controls and push bu on controls in areas that may be regularly hosed down or are very wet. These enclosures are used in areas where serious corrosion problems exist. Suitable for use outdoors, or in dairies, breweries, petrochemical plants, sewage plants, food processing areas, packing plants, and similar installations.

Construction

Made from 16 or 14-gauge stainless steel (Type 304- 2B). All seams are continuously welded. There are no holes or knockouts. The covers are continuously hinged. The covers are held in place by stainless steel self-tapping screws.

Finish

These enclosures are unpainted. A Type 304 2B SS is furnished. Interior panels are also available in stainless steel.

Industry Standard

Meets National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) standard for Type 4 (Water Tight and Dust Tight), Type 4X (Water Tight, Dust Tight, and Corrosion Resistant), Type 12 (Industrial Use), and Type 13 (Oil Tight and Dust Tight) enclosures. Also, conforms to the Joint Industrial Council (JIC) standards EGP-1-1967.
