PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Application
EPI NEMA3R AEP CT Cans are used to protect CTs in outdoor installations in the AEP service area. Designed to protect the enclosed equipment against rain and sleet, may be used indoors where dripping water is a problem. This design conforms to AEP’s CT Enclosure Specifications.
Construction
Made from 14-gauge steel. CT Cans wider or taller than 48” are made from 12-gauge galvanized steel. A drip shield top and smooth seam-free sides, front, and back prevents rain, snow, or sleet from entering the enclosure. A 3-point latching mechanism, operated by an oil-tight locking handle, holds the door securely closed. The continuous stainless steel hinge cover is securely fastened with welds along the opposite side. All double doors have a door stop mechanism. No gasket is provided. A steel CT panel is provided which can be installed vertically or horizontally. A full plywood back panel is available upon request. Knockouts are not available.
Finish
The standard finish is Sherwin Williams ANSI-70 light-dove gray enamel finish inside and out. Also available in Aluminum and Stainless Steel.
