PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Application
EPI NEMA Type 12 JIC Screw Cover Enclosures are designed for use as instrument housings, electrical control enclosures, terminal wiring boxes, and electrical junction boxes. They provide protection from dust, dirt, oil, and water in indoor use.
Construction
Made from 16 or 14-gauge steel. All seams are continuously welded and there are no holes or knockouts. The covers are attached with self- captivating screws. Covers are gasketed with a neoprene gasket a ached with an oil-resistant adhesive. External feet are furnished for mounting. Panels must be ordered separately.
Finish
The standard finish is Sherwin Williams ANSI-70, light-dove gray enamel inside and out. Enclosures are also available in galvanized steel.
Industry Standard
Meets National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) standard for Type 12 (Industrial Use) enclosures. Also, conforms to UL50 and the Joint Industrial Council (JIC) standards EGP-1-1967.
