Happy May! April fools because it’s actually April. This is a special time of year for the city of San Antonio because the city hosts its annual “Fiesta” celebration. San Antonio Fiesta is a 2-week celebration of music, food, art, and contests daily throughout the city. There are many fun-filled activities to enjoy in San Antonio.

On April 21st, 1836 the battle of San Jacinto won The Republic of Texas its independence from Mexico. The San Jacinto monument is located in present-day Houston, Texas. The battle changed the course of history as Texas went on to become its own country and soon after admittance into the United States as its 28th state.
