Application

EPI NEMA3R Austin CT Cans are used to protect CTs in outdoor installations. Designed to protect the enclosed equipment against rain and sleet; it may be used indoors where dripping water is a problem.

Construction

Made from 14-gauge galvanized steel. CT Cans wider or taller than 48” are made from 12-gauge galvanized steel.  A drip shield top and smooth seam-free sides, front and back prevent rain, snow, or sleet from entering the enclosure. A 3-point latching mechanism, operated by an oil-tight locking handle, holds the door securely closed. The continuous stainless steel hinge cover is securely fastened with welds along the opposite side. All double doors will have a doorstop mechanism. No gasket is provided. A steel CT panel is provided which can be installed vertically or horizontally. Knockouts are not available. Available in Aluminum and Stainless Steel.

Finish

The standard finish is G-90 Galvanized steel. Also, available in Aluminum and Stainless Steel finishes.

Industry Standard

Meets National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) standard for Type 3R (Rainproof and Sleet-Ice Resistant) enclosures.
