Application

EPI NEMA Type 12 JIC Clamp Cover Only Enclosures are designed for use as instrument housing, electrical control enclosures, terminal wiring boxes, and electrical junction boxes. They provide protection against dust, dirt, and water for indoor use.

Construction

Made from 16 and 14-gauge steel. All seams are continuously welded. Enclosures feature external stainless steel screw clamps on two sides only for securing the gasket cover. There are no knockouts or holes. External feet are furnished for mounting. Panels must be ordered separately.

Finish

The standard finish is Sherwin Williams ANSI-70, light dove gray enamel, inside and out. Additional finishes can be provided.

Industry Standard

Meets National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) standard for Type 12 (Industrial Use) and Type 13 (Oil Tight and Dust Tight) enclosures. JIC EGP-1-1967.
