Application
EPI NEMA Type 12 JIC Screw Cover Wireway is designed to protect wiring from dust, dirt, oil, and water. For indoor use.
Construction
Made from 16 or 14-gauge steel. All seams are continuously welded and there are no holes or knockouts. Each cover has an oil-resistant gasket attached with an oil-resistant adhesive(Covers not to exceed 72”). The cover fastens with self-tapping hex-head screws for a complete seal between the covers and bodies. External feet can be provided for mounting.
Finish
The standard finish is Sherwin Williams ANSI-70, light-dove gray inside and out.
Industry Standard
Meets National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) standard for Type 12 (Industrial Use) and Type 13 (Oil tight and dust-tight) enclosures. Also, conforms to the Joint Industrial Council (JIC) standard EGP-1-1967.
